Guess what else we have

BEEHIVES
(and bees, or course).

We got 3 hives about two years ago then 3 more last year. So 6 total. Plus hundreds of thousands of bees.

It was such a neat experience setting the hives up. And checking them. And extracting the honey.

We get about 5ish gallons of honey per hive. It is a dark amber color and is very thick. It just tastes to wonderful!!!

We just love the bees!!!

  1. Your honey looks wonderful! What do the bees do in the winter?

  2. In the winter the bees huddle in a large ball and go around eating the honey you leave for them. Then if it's a particularly warm day they might go out for a cleansing flight. And I think that's about it!
